Tamaas

Rachida Madani

Rachida Madani is a poet, novelist, and painter born in Tangier. She has a degree in
literature, and teaches French in a secondary school. She has published the novel
History Can Wait (La Différence, 2006), and three books of poetry: A Woman I Am
(1981), Tales of a Severed Head, translated into English by Marilyn Hacker (Yale
University Press, 2012), and What Could Have Remained Silent (Al Manar, 2015).
