In 2014, Tamaas initiated an ongoing dance and poetry project uniting dancers and poets to work together, in a free and open format, to generate creativity and collaboration, while encouraging reflections about the environment and our future within it.
In the space where dance and poetry overlap, eight women met to explore the possibilities of such interaction. First, in Dar al-Ma’mûn, in Marrakech, then in Mount Tremper Arts, in New York, they talked, danced, read, and cooked together. Sharing and negotiating art and mundane activities has helped the project to take shape. In daily sessions, for one week in each residency, different continents, diverse personal histories,and many interests gathered in the same room.
Over time, some of their differences dissolved, while others floated, creating an iridescent moving surface. Perhaps the highlight of this project perhaps was there, at the time of the gathering itself rather than the result of it. This inter-artistic and inter-cultural project was a way for Tamaas to acknowledge such richness, and for the artists to question some of their thoughts reaching, or not, their own resolution, and going back to their homes with a new perspective that may show in their art and, hopefully, add to the world.
The first project took place in Marrakech and included an international group of artists coming from Cairo, Casablanca, Paris, Toronto, and New York.

En 2014, Tamaas a lancé un projet, toujours en cours, réunissant danseurs et poètes afin qu’ils puissent, dans un format libre et ouvert, susciter créativité et collaborations, mais aussi alimenter le débat sur l’avenir de notre environnement. Dans l’espace où danse et poésie se rencontrent, huit femmes se sont réunies pour explorer les possibilités offertes par de telles interactions.
D’abord à Dar al-Ma’mûn, à Marrakech, puis à Mount Tremper Arts, dans l’État de New York, elles ont parlé, dansé, lu et cuisiné ensemble. L'ordonnancement de leur temps entre art et activités plus terre-à-terre a permis au projet de prendre forme. Lors de séances quotidiennes, et pendant une semaine dans chaque résidence, des continents différents, des histoires personnelles riches et des intérêts multiples ont partagé un seul et même espace. Avec le temps, certaines différences se sont estompées et d’autres ont surnagé, créant ainsi une surface iridescente et mouvante.
À l’époque, ce projet s’attachait sans doute à rassembler plutôt qu’à produire. Cette initiative interartistique et interculturelle a permis à Tamaas d’en reconnaître l’immense richesse, et aux artistes de remettre en question, ou non, leurs résolutions, et de rentrer chez eux, doués d’un nouveau point de vue à même d’influer sur leur art et, espérons-le, sur le monde.
Le premier projet a eu lieu à Marrakech et réuni des artistes du Caire, Casablanca, Paris, Toronto et New York.

في عام 2014، بدأت تماس مشروعًا ما زال مستمراً للرقص والشعر يجمع الراقصين والشعراء للعمل معًا في تنسيق حر ومفتوح لتوليد الإبداع والتعاون، مع تشجيع التفكير حول البيئة ومستقبلنا داخلها.
في الفضاء الذي يتداخل فيه الرقص والشعر، التقت ثماني نساء لاستكشاف إمكانيات هذا التفاعل. أولا في دار المأمون في مراكش ثم في ماونت ترامبر آرتس في نيويورك، تحدثوا، رقصوا، قرأوا وطهوا. ساعدت المشاركة والتفاوض في الأنشطة الفنية والرتيبة هذا المشروع على التبلور. في الجلسات اليومية، طوال أسبوع واحد في كل إقامة، اجتمعت قارات مختلفة وتواريخ شخصية متنوعة والعديد من الاهتمامات في نفس الغرفة. بمرور الوقت، تم حل بعض اختلافاتهم بينما عوم البعض الآخر، مما خلق سطحا متحركا قزحي الألوان. ربما كانت نقطة تميز المشروع موجودة وقت التجمع نفسه بدلاً من ان تكون نتاجا له. كان هذا المشروع المتمحور بين الفن والثقافات طريقة لتماس للاعتراف بهذا الثراء، وللفنانين لكي يشككوا في بعض أفكارهم للوصول إلى قرارهم الخاص، أو لا، عائدين إلى منازلهم بمنظور جديد قد يظهر في فنهم آملين
أن يضيف ذلك إلى العالم.
تم تنفيذ المشروع الأول في مراكش وشمل مجموعة دولية من الفنانين القادمين من القاهرة والدار البيضاء وباريس وتورنتو ونيويورك.
